Department Of Human Ecology

Organizations

The Department of Human Ecology provides opportunities for students to develop leadership and social skills by participating in departmental organizational activities. 

Human Ecology Club

The Human Ecology Club represents the Human Ecology department through service learning projects, community service and activities on campus as well as the surrounding communities.  Membership is open to all Human Ecology students.

Kappa Omicron Nu Honor Society

Kappa Omicron Nu (KONu) is the national honor society for Family and Consumer Science majors.  KONu membership confers both honor and obligation.  The honor is in recognition of integrity, high standards of scholarship and the promise of a future filled with achievement.  The obligation involves earnest and loyal efforts toward the advancement of scholarship, personal development, leadership skills, and maintenance of the organization's high performance standards.  KONU membership is open to undergraduate and graduate students with a declared major in Family and Consumer Sciences.  All students must meet established criteria and guidelines for membership eligibility (3.0 Cumulative GPA, completion of 8 credit hours in Family and Consumer Sciences area, sophomore standing).
