Academic Responsibility
It is expected that students will be honest, exhibiting the highest standards of personal integrity. The university will severely penalize acts of dishonesty, academic or otherwise, and urges students to be of good conscience and conduct as they pursue their careers at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.  Students are referred to the University Catalog for explicit policies on falsification, cheating, and plagiarism.

Students should be aware of the UMES policy on misconduct, some of which are noted under Important University Regulations.
